How long does the grooming process take?
This all depends on the individual pet. Coat condition, age, temperament, breed and style are all relevant factors. When we meet your dog/cat we can discuss any relevant issues, as each client is different. Our main concern is the welfare of your pet whilst in our care and to make it an enjoyable experience for them.
Can I bring some treats with my dog?
Excellent idea! We are always in favour of grooming using kindness and rewards. Not many dogs will turn down some chicken or a sausage.
Can I stay with my pet?
This is not usually a good idea as to get the full co-operation of the dogs we must have their undivided attention. We hold an open door policy at Absolutely Animals. Customers can come and have a look in the grooming salon at any time, as long as their dogs are not distracted. If a difficulty with a dog arises the owner will be called at once.
Does my dog go in a cage?
We do have some caged facilities but rarely use them we like the dogs to socialise in the grooming salon and feel the good atmosphere. For safety reasons the dogs are restrained at all times and kept out of reach of each other.
Can you sedate my pet?
We do not sedate any animals on these premises under any situation. We do however accept animals under sedation upon prior arrangement, with the plan of re-training and reducing the sedation over time.
Will you muzzle my pet?
For safety reasons we will have to muzzle any animal that shows signs of aggression.
Does the groom include nails ears and anal glands?
We can only include these extras if your pet comes in on a regular basis. i.e. every 3 months or less.
